Even the sparrow finds a nest in which she puts her young, near to your altars, Lord Mighty God!

When they got to St. John's Island in South Carolina, They bought  a new 1959, no fins, only year built, 2 door  Ford station wagon.  In Nonie's words, it looked a little bit like a hearse.  One time Nonie looked up in her rear view mirror and one of the twins was straddling the back door (the window was down).

After nano preceeded the family to the Philippines, he asked Nonie to have a/c installed in the car.  They shipped the car to the Philippines and sold it there.  They also bought a fridge in SC for the purpose of selling it in the Philippines.

While in the Philippines, Nano got around on a Lambretta motor scooter.  It was used, and got around fast.

there were always chickens in the roads, dirt roads.  sometimes a man would come around with a water buffalo pulling a cart to give kids rides in.  nonie would always have the maid accompany the cart b/c kidnappings were not unheard of.

the floor was slippery,  the maid would take half of a coconut husk (cut side down) and put it under her foot, and hopping along, polish the floor with it.

nonie and nano joked that they now have a maid again there at falcons.
