Mid morning, Nonie asked Nano, "Shall we have some tapioca, now?"

"Yes," Nano replied.

Then Nonie said, 

"Let's give it a try, said the old man on the couch. Ok! Said the old lady!"  

And Nonie and Laura went to the kitchen to get everything ready.

Recently Betty and I enjoyed watching Nano prepare his and Nonie's lunch, typically an omelette sandwich, with onion and parsley, but no cheese.  

It's really lovely!

Garden thoughts

Maybe every compost pile needs one of these:

And we saw this 'fairy garden' at Merrifield nursery....

Featuring a Japanese maple, different sized pebbles and rocks, and a little bridge, and a couple of dogs

Rather minimal for a fairy garden, but wouldn't it be cute if it was built on a shorter legs for a preschooler to play in and decorate on a patio or deck?  Perhaps salvaged from a wooden pallet?  I can imagine the littles would greatly enjoy this activity as long as the smaller rocks were not ingested or put in a nose.......Danny..... :-)

First, she wired a ribbon bow and hot glued it to the wreath, then added flowers, beginning with the smallest first.

It took Christine about 5 minutes, using one 'bush' of magnolias, one 'bush' of white geraniums, 2 sprays of small flowers, one of pussy willows and a small stem with three roses, and one roll of wired ribbon.    It was amazing!
