parkour skills are developing! :-) good man, peter!
After Westmoreland, we swung through Colonial Beach. Unfortunately, no pictures, but someday it would be great to take the littles to the beach there---lots of sand to play in and a very shallow shoreline. It would be a lovely outing, and a perfect spot for a family picnic, too.
Colonial Beach is growing, with a hotel under construction (maybe 5 stories high), and many of the beach front homes updated as well. Even so, the pace is very relaxed, and golf carts are a favorite mode of transportation on the city streets. Although we did not stop for a visit at St. Catherine's, the exterior of church has been updated to look much more traditional. The results are quite beautiful.
We often wonder how many trips we have made to the Northern Neck over the past 21 years. The number would amaze us, I am sure. Thanks be to God for all the great times and the beautiful scenery. May He be praised for His goodness to the myers, and that pretty peninsula-- the Northern Neck.
