garlic knots

Not only have the kiddos loved these rolls,  Fly has been my new very best friend ever since the garlic and oil were processed together in the blender.

This recipe is adapted from Martha Stewart.

I started with basic pizza dough

1 1/2 T yeast
disolve in:
2C warm water
1 1/2 T sugar

add 1/4 C oil

add to:

4 C flour
1 T salt

add enough flour to make a lovely dough.

After it rises once, punch it down, divide in half, and roll out each half portion into 10x16".  Cut into strips, and then cut the strips in half, and tie each strip into a little knot.

brush with olive oil and let rise.  bake 350

while the rolls are baking, pour some olive oil into the blender and add several cloves of peeled garlic.  Blend until it is emulsified.

when the rolls come out, brush them with the oil and garlic (very potent stuff) and sprinkle with kosher salt.  Yummy!
